Seminar on the New procedures and instruments for awarding public procurement contracts

On 18-19 of September, Public Procurement Bureau in cooperation with OECD/SIGMA organized seminar. The Minister of Finance, Mr. Trajko Slaveski had an opening speech at the seminar, and participants were round thirty representatives from the public and private sector in , as well representatives from some international institutions, like EC, World Bank etc. Presenters were experts from the field of public procurement from EU member states.  

Main aim of the seminar was debate about adequate strategies and measures fir effective implementation of the new procedures in the system of public procurement in . At this seminar, also were given an overview and directions for the purpose and significance of the new procedures introduced by the Directives 2004/17/EC and 2004/18/EC, were presented number of examples from the experience of the member states in using of framework agreements, centralized and coordinated procurement and e-procurement.
